Sarasota, Florida

White sand beaches, sophisticated arts, world-class shopping, five star resorts, country clubs of distinction, legendary fine dining and community events coupled with the areas natural beauty and year-round good weather are just a few reasons that Sarasota ranks among the nations 15 most livable communities, according to Money Magazine. Located on South West Florida's Suncoast, the Sarasota area is a paradise unto its own.

Sarasota is known as Florida's Cultural Coast and is home to a professional symphony, ballet and opera. In addition, more than 10 theaters and 30 art galleries are located in Sarasota. Main Street in downtown Sarasota boasts dozens of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. There are many special events throughout the year in Downtown Sarasota including live music, art festivals, motorcycle shows and parades.

Anna Maria Island

Located on Florida's renowned West Coast, seven-mile long Anna Maria Island is situated south of Tampa Bay. Lovely Anna Maria Island is touched by three tropical bodies of water. The Gulf of Mexico on the western shore and Sarasota Bay, as well as Anna Maria Bay on the Eastern Shore. In addition, Anna Maria Island is northernmost on a string of barrier islands that extend in a southerly direction, the only other set of keys in this latitude aside from the infamous Florida Keys.

Surprisingly, this quaint key is host to three cities. Anna Maria at the northern end, Holmes Beach in the center and Bradenton Beach at the southern tip. Each city is easily accessible by any of our three drawbridges. Entering Anna Maria Island from the south through Sarasota, the Longboat Key drawbridge is a direct guide down Gulf of Mexico Drive. From the mainland, two drawbridges lie off Anna Maria Island's Eastern Shore, crossing Sarasota Bay and the Intercoastal Waterway. Another option for the sight-seeing visitors is via SR 64, a cross-Florida link which runs just short of the Atlantic coast on the eastern shore of the state.

Longboat Key

Although it is known as a private island, Longboat Key is a popular destination for visitors from around the world. You are welcomed to a plush island of tasteful luxury and tempting quiet pleasures that cater to all personalities. If you are the athletic type, activities on Longboat Key are endless! Shelling, biking, fishing, dining, watersports and rollerblading… just to name a few. Tennis and golf enthusiasts are welcome to take advantage of our first-class Longboat Key Country Clubs. The city offers many cultural activities from the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, Asolo Theater, Ringling Museum, Sarasota Ballet to the Sarasota Opera House. Even closer than downtown Sarasota is world-class shopping on St. Armand's Circle, just a bridge away!
